This is the premier issue of La Voz (The Voice) of De Anza College. It had not yet been named La Voz and was titled "Vistas." The second issue of the newspaper was the first to officially be called La Voz.
A view through some of the archways that have become iconic for De Anza College. These arches surround the swimming pool. This image was captured in 1966; the college opened in September of 1967.
This image, taken from the gymnasium side of the iconic Foothill Footbridge, shows the bridge, Campus Center, campus loop road and Appreciation Hall under construction. The Los Altos Hills campus opened to the public in the Fall of 1961.
Workers place the iconic "hat" on top of a Foothill building during construction in 1960. The "hat" was both a visual feature and a functional one. Inside the "hat" were the heating and ventilation systems that are typically placed on rooftops in full view. This was used on all buildings at Foothill to hide the unsightly equipment from view.
